Impelled by the love of Christ, we, Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth offer every loving service in our power to meet the critical needs of God's people. We are an apostolic community rooted in the tradition of St. Vincent de Paul and Saint Louise de Marillac who had a special love for serving Christ within persons living in poverty. Today, we serve in diverse ministries in the United States, Peru and Canada with a focus on direct service and systemic change in the areas of education, housing/homelessness, immigration, economic development, human trafficking, racial justice, and care of creation. We sponsor the University of Saint Mary, Leavenworth, Kansas, Cristo Rey Kansas City High School, Kansas City, Missouri and San Vicente Pastoral Center, Piura, Peru; we also offer retreat and spirituality ministry through the Marillac Center, Leavenworth, Kansas.
