Founded in 1987 by an independent publisher with a goal of helping young adults to consider the possibility of life as a sister, brother, or priest, Vision is owned by the National Religious Vocation Conference, who today contracts TrueQuest Communications to provide publishing services.

VISION's mission to provide readers with a broad picture of religious life through first-person accounts, profiles, photo stories, and informational articles about discernment, community life, vows, ministry, and Catholic teachings. The religious congregations who advertise in VISION provide additional information in a community index about their ministries and requirements.

VISION is free. The printed guide is produced annually and distributed throughout the U.S. and Canada. Digitalvocationguide.com and the vocation-network.org reach across the globe. Articles appear online in English, Spanish,and French. New content is posted daily.

VocationMatch.com is a unique discernment tool provided by VISION Vocation Guide to help men and women considering religious life to focus their options and narrow their search for the right vocation and community. After completing a series of questions about interests and spiritual orientation,the participant's answers are matched against the profiles of hundreds of religious communities, institutes, and organizations. The discerner receives the results of those communities that might be a good fit for them.

TrueQuest Communications publishes VISION and its multilingual websites on behalf of the National Religious Vocation Conference. TrueQuest was founded in 2001 to provide high-quality publications and services to spiritual seekers, religious communities, churches, and faith-based organizations. TrueQuest publications include the award-winning online preaching resource Prepare the Word and the faith-formation personal and parish resource Take Five for Faith. TrueQuest has provided publishing servies including strategic planning, marketing, advertising, and website design consultation to a numerous organizations, including Abbey Press, Loyola Press, the Catholic Campus Ministers Association, and hundreds of religious communities. 

The National Religious Vocation Conference, founded in 1988, is a professional organization of men and women committed to Catholic vocation awareness, invitation, and discernment to life as brothers, sisters and priests. It has an annual membership of over 1,300 women and men, most of whom are vocation ministers for Catholic congregations of sisters, brothers and priests.

The NRVC provides its members with education, resources and other supportive services for personal and professional growth. With editorial expertise from TrueQuest Communications, NRVC publishes VISION and VocationMatch.com, as well as Focus on Vocation Ministry monthly newsletter, and the professional journal HORIZON.
