Established in 1833, the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary continue to follow in the footsteps of our foundress, Mary Frances Clarke, responding to God’s love and serving wherever the need is the greatest. We find strength in our faith in God, in one another, and with the people we serve. Our core values – freedom, education, charity and justice – guide our lives and choice of ministries as educators, pastoral ministers, counselors, advocates for the elderly and immigrants, and in the ministry of prayer. As God’s love frees us to serve, a spirit of trust and joy enlivens our community, and we commit ourselves to honor diversity, act against injustice, and stand humbly before God with gratitude.
