We Dominican Sisters of Adrian are members of the Order of Preachers. We preach the Good News of God´s love to the world through our ministries and our lives. One of our mottos is “To contemplate and share the fruits of contemplation.” We strive to base our lives on the four pillars of Dominican life: prayer, study, community, and ministry/preaching. Our roots go back 800 years to St. Dominic. We came to Adrian, Michigan, in 1879. We are currently around 400 members and minister in many places in the United States as well as the Dominican Republic, Norway, and the Philippines. Our ministries take many forms. We serve as teachers, lawyers, social workers, medical professionals, parish pastoral ministers, chaplains, artists, and advocates for those who are suffering, including our whole earth community. In whatever we do, we aim to “seek truth, make peace, and reverence life.” Please visit our website.
