We are an international community of Catholic sisters who unite with others to help build a more just and peaceful world. As School Sisters of St. Francis, our mission is to live the Good News of Jesus and witness to the presence of a loving God as we enter into the lives and needs of people, especially the poor, throughout the United States, Europe, Latin America, India and Africa. Through education, pastoral ministry, social justice, spiritual growth, health care, and the fine arts, we strive to be the Franciscan face of the Gospel to all those with whom we come into contact. Sustained by the spirit of Sts. Francis and Clare of Assisi, we carry out our ministries with hope, joy, commitment, and connection—to God and to each other.
